Kids love it. I'm glad I found it used for a great price on Amazon because while it's a very cute board book, I don't think it's worth the original $15 price. Amazon's great for getting books at a better price! Since I bought it used, 2 flaps were missing. No problem, however; I just made a couple flaps from cardstock/cardboard I had in my recycling bin and taped them on with packaging tape. Voila!

Great Fun Again and Again

My 10-month old girl never tires of this book, so we usually read it twice in a row. The first time through, she goes straight for the flaps. The second time through, we stop and feel the "touchy" parts of the book, talk about the animals, and find the duck. (It is the same duck from the "Find the Duck" book.)

My only complaint is that the flaps are positioned in a way that makes it very easy to shut them in the book incorrectly. I have to hold the flap down to turn the page safely. However, when I finally let my daughter do things all on her own, I found that it is easy enough to re-bend the flaps. They probably won't last as long as I want them too, but they are sturdier than they look.

I bought this book used, which is probably not a good idea for a touchy feely flap book. If it had been new it would have gotten a great rating, because my grandson loves flap books and this one involves hiding too (which is always fun.) The book I received, however, had missing flaps... not a good thing for a hide-and-seek book.

I found this book to be a babies favorite. There are pages of colorful animals that you can touch and feel, and not just one per page but several. There are hide and seek flaps with great surprises under each one. The hard board pages make it a perfect book for babies to explore. Give the gift of language and love. Excellent for gifts or just adding to a little ones begining library.
